The women of our church serve in a number of ministries. Everything from outreach to recreation is covered by these ministries for and by women.
2010 Women’s Ministry Retreat
at Camp Barakel
Do you like riding a bike, paddling a boat, canoeing, hiking, archery, zip lining, riding a sled down a mountain, shooting a gun, or just plain relaxing in peaceful northern Michigan...well then Camp Barakel is for you. The Women’s Ministry will be taking a group of ladies to Camp Barakel this year like last year.
Save the weekend of Oct. 1 – 3, 2010 for this trip. If you would like to go, there will be a $50 deposit required by Sept. 3rd and the remaining $55 can be paid at the time of arrival at Camp Barakel. Please send your deposit into the church office by the 3rd of September to reserve your spot with the group.
The Women’s Ministry Board looks forward to sharing this experience with all of the ladies at DMC. The ladies had a great time last year and we look forward to making it an even better experience for everyone this year.
Camp Barakel (Hebrew for Blessing of God) is used by both the men and women of DMC for annual retreats. This 350 acre retreat sits on the shores of Shear Lake in Fairview, Michigan (45 miles east of Grayling) and is owned by 40 local churches of varying denominations. For more information on this beautiful property and a list of events visit their Web site at www.campbarakel.org.
